Dreamweaver 4/Fireworks 4 Studio Review

Dreamweaver 4/Fireworks 4 Studio

I am not a Web developer by any means. I work in a hospital lab and needed to develop a departmental Intranet. I thought this would be easy until I talked to our IS people, the ones who really know what they are doing. Then I purchased Dreamweaver/ Fireworks Studio 3. WOW, did this help. I find version 4 even better. Do you like the cool multielevel pop-menus in the navigation bar? I do and for the life of me could not figure out the java codes to create one. Not a problem here, Fireworks did all of the work for me. I also tried Microsofts Frontpage 2000. I am a big fan of Office, but like all things Microsoft they required certain items to be installed on the server that our IS dept didn't allow.
I highly recommend this product for "newbie" web developers.

80 Days: Around the World Adventure Review

80 Days: Around the World Adventure
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I really enjoyed this game. It had many places to visit and many things to do when you got there. There were several ways to travel on your journey. He traveled by cruise ship, train and helium balloon. There were also several modes of transportation when he was on land. You could drive a sports car, elephant, flying carpet or wheel vehicle. This made it very interesting. I did download the patch which makes it run smoother. He changed into different funny costumes also. At times I really laughed. Some of the puzzles were quite challeging but fun. At first it was hard to run the key board with the mouse. I learned to click twice on the up arrow to make him stay in running mode and then I could steer him with the mouse. It would have been nice if they had let you save more times. At one point, it was a very long time with challenging puzzles in between before I reached a save point so I had to go over and over but finally got it. The game has its own save points. I am used to making my own. All in all it was quite enjoyable and fun and well worth buying.

Disney's 102 Dalmatians: Puppies to the Rescue Review

102 Dalmatians: Puppies to the Rescue is the best game ever (so far)! The graphics are great and it's 3-D! You choose to be one of the puppies, Oddball or Domino. You can play tricks on the Badduns (Jasper, Horace, and LePelt). It's fun to watch the movies of them getting trapped. I hope Disney Interactive makes another great puppy game! It's a challenging program although my 6 year old brother can play it with help.

This is the most wonderful game you will ever buy if you like the type of games that it has. I had an older version of this and my Grandson deleated it from my computer, as it had been there for a long time, then we could not find my origional to put it back as it had been packed away with LOTS of things & I had no idea where to find it & I was going through withdrawal. I am not an avid player & on the computer, but nights I can not sleep, this is the game I want, no other has the selections I want & have been playing for years. I was very upset & I had everyone looking for me one. I said I don't care what it cost buy it & I will pay you back. I had looked everywhere. Then a friend was on the internet one night and there it was. I pulled it up and it is a newer version of mine, but still has all of my old favorites plus they have added more. The price is FANTASTIC!!! I won't tell them what I would have actually paid to get that game!! HA!

Assassin's Creed Review

Assassin's Creed
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is on of the most anticipated games to be ported to PCs. For this, the Director's Cut edition was produced, adding some content over the console versions (mostly rooftop action missions), and care was taken to make the gamepad to keyboard/mouse-transition as seamless as possible. For the most part it was successful.
This is a TREMENDOUSLY BEAUTIFULLY GAME. The first thing that grabs you is how REAL the city environments feel. The graphics are just OUT OF THIS WORLD! You will need a very good PC to enjoy their full potential (minimum requirements provided below), but real skies, dynamic shadows, facial expressions and realistically flowing robes are only beginning to describe it! Run on a roof and the other citizens will gather around and comment on your crazy behavior! Throw someone on a vendor's cart and he will come after you complaining about his ruined produce! And the city is alive well beyond your character. If only BIOWARE could take some lessons for its next BALDUR's GATE...
Adding to this is the wonderful sound! From the crowd murmurs and the NTCs cries for help, to the whistling of the wind and the well-chosen background music, a good sound-card and speakers set is recommended to truly enjoy this game. If you have a 5.1 speaker system (I do not) I can imagine the experience to become even more immersing.
As to the gameplay, you control Altaïr ibn La-Ahad ("The Flying One, Son of None"). He is a member of the Assassin Brotherhood that sides, well, with both...sides, during the 3rd Crusade. In a story twist, he is also your ancestor, the game being your/his flashback memories. This is a twist I could do without, but I would guess it lays groundwork for the sequels.
The Third person perspective works beautifully and will never loose your interest. Most missions require sneaking and murdering in the shadows. Others will have you eavesdropping for passwords or pickpocketing documents to gain access into target buildings. Some will have you sharpen those sword skills. Still, the game does not avoid its share of stupid "keep this...suicidal character from getting killed" missions. Keep in mind though that ASSASSIN's CREED is rather a strategically thinking action TPS, not a hack&slash fast-paced one.
Controlling your character with a keyboard/mouse takes a lot of getting used to as you have to manage running, climbing, fighting as well as modifying your actions from low to high visibility. The keys are remapable but their complexity will never let you forget you are playing a game. Now for some bad news.
These are the official MINIMUM Requirements:
* Pentium D 2.6GHz (YES, Dual Core!) (or AMD equivalent)
* 1GB RAM (WinXP) or 2GB (WinVISTA) (3GB RECOMMENDED!)
* nVidia 6800 (or Shader Model 3.0 compliant or ATI equivalent)
* Dual-Layer DVD-ROM (or BluRay disc)
* 12GB HDD Space (although my install folder was no larger than 7GB)
As one can see, this is worse than CRYSIS! What I cannot get is how on earth ASSASSIN works on only 512MB of RAM of the XBox, yet it is recommended to have...3GB of RAM on a PC! Sure, the extra content is nice but who did the porting, unpaid interns? Has ANY PC optimization been attempted at all?
Keep also in mind that (as with CRYSIS) in order to fully enjoy the game, barely meeting the minimum requirements means you will barely experience the game. I refuse to deal with WinVISTA so, obviously, this review pertains to DirectX-9. The game is also DirectX-10 compatible, something I cannot comment on though. And now for some good news.
UBISOFT has been recently hit with a $5million class-action suit for hardware (OK, "allegedly") damaged by StarForce bundled with its games. Since, they have announced to be abandoning its StarForce partnership - so let's all rejoice: unlike other UBISOFT games, ASSASSIN's CREED does NOT sport StarForce! Instead, a much milder SafeDisc is used.
It is a pity it took litigation to finally listen to their own customers (suing StarForce would make much more sense, but try finding them in Russia!), but let's count our blessings.
So, overall, this is a well made and beautiful, immersing (although quite short) game that needed more work in PC optimization (where it looses 1 star Overall) and character control (where it looses 1 star for Fun).
As Altair himself would have put it: "Nothing is true. Everything is permitted."
Well, not everything - and certainly NOT StarForce.

Super-Sized Fun Pack Review

Super-Sized Fun Pack
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
If you are just a run-of-the-mill computer 'gamer' who enjoys a good match of solitaire or playing fun sim games like Sim City or Zoo Tycoon, then this 4-pack of games is a good choice, especially for families. While the graphics and altogether dynamic gameplay are not incredibly astounding, they are eye-catching and this is a great pack if you play games with friends, or if you enjoy to play against the computer.
Clue, Life, and Monopoly, are all board games-come-computer games that are colorfully done in cartoony 3d graphics. The gameplay is much like that of the boardgames with some cute interactive features and of course, a simulated 3d environment. Clue is a detective game where you have to figure out whodunit, in what room, with what weapon. I believe you can also play this on the internet with other friends through mediums like MSN messenger (copyright and all that jazz). Its got a darker feeling compared to the other games, and is well done but a bit confusing for younger players. Life is simple, you go through the "stages of life" after college, where the luck of the spinning wheel can make you a millionaire winner or a ho-hum average worker come retirement. Monopoly is much like the classic property buying game iwth a number of different gameplay options and cool graphics.
Finally there is the game that alone makes this pack worth it. Rollercoaster Tycoon, the best simulated theme park creator in the world, is based on a simple concept that you won't be able to stop playing. Be warned now its addicting. Basically htere are scenarios that you have to beat (as well as expansion packs you can pick up), such as "Have this many guests in your park" or "Generate this much through ticket sales". Its a really great game and both challenging with out being annoyingly hard.
All in all I would recommend this pack to families or people that like playing a game occasionally with out wanting to spend lots of money.

Ultimate Pinball Gold (Jewel Case)

Been playing this for a long time on my old computer with Windows XP and now on my new computer with Windows Vista. Lots and lots of pinball action here. If you have trouble with the game running 100 times faster than normal just switch the view in the game options from single screen to scrolling and you might want to uncheck the auto scrolling (you will see what I mean if you get a multiball play with auto scrolling on). You will almost never run out of different games here to play and try to master.

Mahjongg Ancient Mayas Review

Mahjongg Ancient Mayas
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Fantastic game and great improvement over the usual plain vanilla game
This is an awesome game. It has great cartoon style graphics of the rainforest and Mayan pyramids, etc. It leads you on adventures past various famous actual Mayan sites like Tikál (Guatemala) and Copán (Honduras). It features various Mayan flavored tilesets and photographic backgrounds of rain-forest, beach, waterfall, pyramids, etc. It also features some fantastic rain-forest flavored music. I actually don't know what Mayan music should sound like, but this music sounds like African jungle music and I also noticed some Peruvian sounding pan-flutes. It's good music on an absolute scale and also contributes heavily to the rain-forest adventure atmosphere. It also features archeological sound effects like heavy stone tablets sliding open, monkeys, birds, and (presumably) Mayan natives grunting (sometimes in tune with the music).
The game is a big improvement over the usual Mahjongg game in several ways: The entire game is slickly produced and operates smoothly, more so than expected. The Mayan theme is used throughout: the cursor, help windows, tiles, backgrounds, music and sound effects, lettering, command buttons, every single thing that you see on the screen has a Mayan theme. The game opens up new features (like tilesets) as you progress through it. Most importantly, this version of Mahjongg elevates the usual simply one-dimensional game into an actual game with time awards, multiple levels, a storyline, surprise features, and special bonus tiles (for example a wildcard tile). In "adventure" mode, you work your way through a Mayan adventure by visiting Mayan sites (starting with El Gran Jaguar in Tikál) and solving a Mahjongg puzzle at each site. When you solve the puzzle, then you move on to the next Mayan site, possibly adding some game features along the way. I won't spoil the surprise of the bonus tiles. An additional delightful surprise is a comic book intro story in the vein of Indiana Jones.

Castle Strike Review

Castle Strike
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
What I have learned of this game is from only playing the demo. It is a shame the game is not sold in USA. I bought a copy yesterday in eBay, from an English vendor: Game Wholesale LTD, at a very good price, under $15.00 including everything. (See final comments at bottom, after playing the full version).
Game scenario and period is Western Europe, at some moment of the Hundred Years' War, which involved England and France as main contenders. This is roughly the beginning of 15th century, the time when Joan of Arc lived, fought and died.
This game does not seem to follow the epic approach of Medieval Total War, which spans four centuries of European history through the whole Western world and even part of the Eastern as well. It seems to have a more local approach, as the one of the local lord struggling against his neighboors, but I repeat: this is the demo taste. You have to build a castle and its village, manage the peasants and set an army that, in its biggest size, barely reaches 200 men. This, without doubts, looks like a local warlords contest.
The interface of building and managing is quite simple and intuitive, yet quite deep in technology developments. Village buildings are constructed by peasants in real-time, and when not constructing something, peasants are working as lumberjacks, miners or stone carvers. How manage the share of each activity in labor force, can be easily done by the control mentioned by another reviewer. Close to this control, there is a slide bar that permits you set how many peasants, as a total, will be assigned to gather resources. If you leave some villagers unassigned, they will be ready to automatically go and start constructing any new building you place in the village. However, village daily life lacks the richness and rather complex economic relations of castle settlements in "Stronghold" series.
Castle structures: walls, towers, and the like are very pleasant to see, and they are "live", meaning that can hold soldiers, in the "Stronghold" series style. Negative point is that you don't need workers to build them up. Once you define the layout and click the "Execute" button, walls and towers are erected by "magic", again following the "Stronghold" fashion.
The most attractive part of the game is the impressive 3D graphical implementation. I can't remember any other Strategy game where you can zoom in the "camera" and look in the face of any of more than 200 units on the terrain, and yet what you see is a well designed, "cartoon" like, archer or swordman, like the characters in a Role Playing game. Buildings and terrain accidents are good looking also, and if you zoom close enough to castle walls and towers, you'll see the bricks perfectly defined.
Unit's behavior is well designed. Artillery needs a crew to man the equipment, two men a piece. Any soldier can become a gunner, but if detached from the gun, he starts to fight as what he was before become a gunner. This is a nice feature, because sometimes you'll need more the men for close combat than the long range and slow guns. Cavalry units, lancers, can dismount and fight as foot soldiers, but can not man artillery. Some times enemy kills the horse but not the man, and he can keep fighting for you. Conversely, some infantry units, like spearmen and swordsmen, can mount and ride a horse. Very nice too. Artillery pieces can sometimes loose the crew, but the equipment itself remains usable. To reinforce your fire power, all you have to do is send some available soldiers, or recruit and deploy additional ones, and instruct them to man abandoned cannons, yours or your enemy's, in places where a combat had place previously. Of course, your foe can do the same thing.
Final Comments: After buying and trying the full version, I should say this is a tactic game, rather than a strategy one. Population limit, in the Custom Map mode, is set at 125, military and civilian included. I almost don't remember any other RTS game than AoE first version with so low units max number.
Given the relentless military action (enemy will attack you early in the game), you have to manage very carefully your army in order to defend your own castle and village, while trying to assault enemy castle. Only exception under the 125 limit, is the chance to hire some heroes, mighty knights with special skills. They can be found after you develop the tournament feature in the "Town Square" building. These knights are the only units who can deploy organized formations at the field, grouping around 40 infantry units.
Mix long and short range units, add a monk for healing, bring on proper artillery support (cannons or light ballistae) and enough reinforcements near behind to refill the ranks, and you have a good chance to defeat the enemy in open range and get close enough to his castle to set siege.
Some flexibility under the 125 ceiling is allowed too with the artillery equipment. You can buy any number of pieces, regardless of the population limit. Doing so, you can have some infantry units performing a dual role, fighting as foot soldiers when needed, or manning cannons and trebuchet in the other side.
The game Custom Map does not contain other accident than the castle and village of your foe (or foes, you can choose until three AI enemies). There is not towns nor roads.
After playing a couple of Campaign episodes, I realized there is not historic or epic drama. Just leading a bunch of soldiers through the map and fighting your enemy wherever you meet him. So, I detoured to the Custom Map.
There are three nations to pick at: French, English (Hundred Years' War enemies) and German. Each one with its special buildings and units. Regarding units, always there are a lot of choices to pick. You have common archers (short bow), spearmen and pike men. Beside archers you can have crossbowmen and/or long bow archers (depending of the nation you pick). Pike men can be upgraded to halberdiers. French have mace men, paladins and crusaders. English have axmen, and German have swordsmen. On top of that, you have harquebusiers and lancers. Almost any close range infantry (spearmen, swordsmen, axmen, mace men, and paladin) unit can mount and ride a horse. However, lancers are the first choice to mounted soldiers.

Unreal 2: The Awakening Special Edition Review

Unreal 2: The Awakening Special Edition
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Unreal 2: The Awakening is like any other First Person Shooter game. You are the last hope of the world again, and you must take on the enemy (mostly) alone. Only to be rewarded with similar cut scenes of your transport going from - or coming to your space ship. (Although your First Mate, Aida, is somewhat good looking (...))It's an entertaining story at least. And probably worth the (...) asking price for what it is. Just expect to play it for 6 - 10 hours with little replay.
What sets this game a part from other shooters is the one sniper mission where you have to protect a mechanic from a sniper vantage point. Or the two mini-base building mission, where you protect others by building a force field and gun turrets. Else, you just hunt for the switch or find the Artifact, and even this is fairly straight forward. And the weapons are very imaginative. (Later on in the game...)
To sum it up: AI is great. Graphics are great. Sound is great. The story is good. Characters are good. And the missions are average. Length of the game is short. And the difficulty is adjustable from very easy to insane.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Review

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
By now, you have heard the hype surrounding Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion. I am here to tell you that the hype is real. The game is fantastic. The graphics are unreal-they really took them to the next level. The play mechanics are straight forward for the average PC RPG fan, but there is enough depth to make any hard core gamer happy! I think the designers hit a perfect balance for any type of fan.
As computer owners, we are constantly reminded that it is expensive to upgrade hardware. Every once and a while, a game comes out that justifies those expenses. I think this is the game that should make people upgrade. And, if you do it now, you won't have to worry about upgrading for the next generation of games. My computer is plenty powerful enough to run it (Alienware Area-51 5500 with 1Gig Ram, ATI x850 256megs Ram, S-ATA 80 gig HD, Viewsonic VX924 Monitor).
However, if my computer was too slow, I know I would upgrade in order to play this game, it is that good. Even after a few hours of playing, I am confident in saying that this game is fantastic! Any money you spend on your computer will be well worth it!
The beginning level acts as a tutorial. Instead of being ordered how to do things, the game starts open ended (a clue that the entire game will be this open ended as well). It gives suggestions on things, such as how to use the bow and how to cast spells. But if you choose to not be an archer or a magician, you can still proceed. You customize your character at different points based on how you were playing. I think that is an original design for character creation, as opposed to creating a character from scratch before ever playing the game.
I have walked through several large cities, talked to citizens, obtained quests, finished quests, bartered at the shops, changed my equipment, leveled-up some skills, used swords, hammers, bows, magic, etc.-that was all in the first few hours. I am taking my time walking through the game. Yes, the graphics are that good, and you may want to take the time to admire the world that you are walking through. Personally, I sometimes rush through games and forget to look around at the world. This game makes you want to look around, to see what is around the corner, to explore the areas and see what is next.
Oblivion is going to be huge! I have read that the main quest is about 25 hours. If you explore the entire island, and attempt the side quests, the game is hundreds and hundreds of hours. I still know people playing Morrowind-I expect Oblivion to last as long, if not longer.
Yes, my computer is setup for games and the gaming experience. So far, Oblivion has proved to be a worthwhile experience. Even for those computers with lower setting should still enjoy this game-the designers made sure that the game was just more than graphics. How it looks should not stop you from buying this game-it is the game experience you should come for. The fact that it is possibly the best computer RPG ever should make you want to play it no matter what.
The bottom line is: combat is fun, and I look forward to unlocking skills that let me target with my bow, roll out of the way of combat, and summon creatures to help me fight. The game play is deep and accessible. There are more items, weapons, magic combinations, character types, NPCs, quests etc. than you know what to do with! The graphics are outstanding. The voice acting is some of the best in any game. The game wants you, the player, to be involved. You play however you want and whoever you want to be.
And truthfully, the game is just fun. What more can you ask for in a computer game?
Note: The Collectors Edition is the same game, but this box comes with a collector's coin and a book that give you detailed background of the world of Oblivion, incuding characters, places, and story.
UPDATE: Someone wrote earlier (in other reviews) that you can only play in 1st person. This is not true. Use the mouse wheel to scoll back and you can set the distance you want to view your character in 3rd person. Also, you can hot key 8 items (both on the PC and XBox 360) with keys 1-8. I wish there were more, but it seems to be a strategy type thing set by the designers. What is important to you? Well, you get 8 things to hot key. The keys F1-F4 call up your charater page, inventory, spells, and map/journal. This should make inventory management a snap. Hopefully, those who are making comments about these things either read their manauls or try things out before making it a negative complaint about the game.
I started a new character already and I am enjoying the game so much more with this custome Battle Mage! This game is great because it encourages experimentation and exploration. Enjoy!

Shade: Wrath of Angels Review

Shade: Wrath of Angels

This is definitely a great game for fans of third person action/suspense games. I read another review that really shot down this game. Apparently they had problems with the graphics and gameplay. I experienced neither, but I am running a powerful computer. SHADE does require at least 512 Mb of RAM and a 256 Mb graphics card as a recommended requirement. I thought the graphics were good, and the level design was imaginative. This game is a cross between Tomb Raider, The Suffering, Silent Hill, and Blade of Darkness. The major elements of those games are in SHADE. Give this game a try if you have the computer to run it. For $19.99 it's a bargain.

Shade: Wrath of Angels boasts 30 levels of intense action, featuring environments from the modern day, Middle-Ages, Ancient Egypt and the mysterious Shadowland. The player takes on the role of a secretive ex-military mercenary, who receives a letter from his brother asking to meet him in an old Eastern European town. Once there the player finds the town strangely quiet - until he discovers dead bodies, frighten soldiers and scientists running away from the town. It is at this point that the player first meets a sinister shadow being that offers him help and guidance for his adventure. As well as his advice, the shadow figure gives the player his servant - the Demon, which the gamer can morph into at anytime and whose physical strength and magic attacks will play an important part of the adventure.

Full Throttle Review

Average Reviews:

Let me start out by saying this game is a blast. It is a load of fun, has some great puzzles and great moments and you get to know the character. Having said this, it is also a very short game. Most of the puzzles will not prove too much of a challenge if you've played any other adventure games. I think the first time I played through it tooks ~4 hours with no hints over two days. It was a load of fun though, so I decided that since I knew all the puzzles, I would play it again. It took ~1.5 hours total time to play through the entire game, and this is not skipping the cutscene movies.
At the original retail price of about $40, this game was short to the point of being close to disappointing, but at $10 you will definitely get your money's worth. It's a blast from LucasArts who also makes amazing adventure games such as The Day of the Tentacle, Maniac Mansion, Zac McCracken and the Alien Mindbenders, and Sam and Max Hit the Road (all excellent, buy them all).
In short, pick this game up now if you haven't played it before.

Riven the Sequel to Myst Review

Riven the Sequel to Myst
Average Reviews:

There are three games at least in this series. It starts with Myst, then Riven, then Revelation. I began the series by playing Riven. It was recommended to me by a co-worker and I was hooked! Had to buy the game guide as I am not so very clever at figuring out all the puzzles, but I so much enjoyed playing the game it was all we talked about at work. This is my favorite game of the series still, even after buying and playing the rest. Each game gets better graphics and interactions.
But Myst is one of my favorite puzzle-solving type of games.
It is very nice to have a game that is not blood and gore as so many have become as of late. I would recommend this game to enthusists of the puzzle genre type of game. It is very entertaining for everyone!!!

EA Sports Rugby 2004 Review

EA Sports Rugby 2004

I am a fan of rugby, an ex-player, and a current coach. I really wanted to like this game, but I despise it. There are so many reasons it is hard to know where to begin.
There is none of the flow of rugby in this game whatsoever. I purchased the game, in part because I was excited about this fall's world cup, but I was utterly disappointed. The rucks move at a snail's pace, and the breaks in the game to call lineouts and backline plays are neverending. Not only that, but set plays can only be called from a scrum, not in the loose as is done in real life. There is little control as to what happens in the rucks, and the things you can do seem to have no impact on the game other than the occasional penalty. The speed of the game is pathetic, and the graphics look as though they were produced three years ago.
If you have never played rugby before, don't get this game. It will bore you and make you never want to watch or play ther real thing.
If you have played rugby before, don't get this game. It will frustrate you and make you want to put a ball through your television monitor.
It seems like EA sports got the licensing rights but spent their entire budget doing so, leaving no resources to develop the game itself. OH, MY! This game is absolutely and utterly HORRENDOUS...
This game is so bad I feel sorry for anyone who has already bought it. I have already given it on a keep-it-as-long-as-you-like-it loan to a friend of mine, and to be honest I hope I never see it again. That is how bad this game is. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND SPEND YOUR MONEY ON SOMETHING ELSE...I would suggest Winning Eleven 6, especially if you like soccer--now that is a game worth playing.

Nibiru: Age of Secrets Review

Nibiru: Age of Secrets
Average Reviews:

Despite the picture on the box, most of the scenery takes place in Czech Republic, followed by small bits in France and Mexico. The storyline becomes apparent during the game play, and is not difficult to follow, even if you pay attention to a television program instead of this game. The play involves talking to people, finding objects by mousing over them, combining and using objects in the inventory, and solving a few puzzles.
The good parts of the game:
.The graphics are pretty good, and include rain (lots and lots of rain), a bit of snow, and realistically walking people.
. The puzzles are easy enough to solve without being a pain or a bore.
. You can't get lost anywhere, because the game will not let you either use the wrong items (match on the map to burn it up) or get lost, because you can't go too far without performing certain tasks or finding certain objects.
. You can turn this game off and go to bed without an aching to get back.
The bad parts:
. The game sometimes hangs, usually if there is another program running in the background.
. The tasks can be tedious and annoying, such as talking to a certain person, then another person, then back again, then walking away for a bit, then walking back and talking again.
. The characters have odd accents - there are several cockneys, and the bad guys sound like Sean Connery. The main character, Martin, has a deep, pleasant voice.
. If you miss a bit of dialogue, or even an entire conversation, you can't go back and play it again, unless, of course, you saved the game just before that point.
. The grammar, punctuation, and spelling in the dialogues are severly lacking.
. Every so often Martin exclaims, "I'd better get out of here quickly" as he saunters off slowly. Luckily, everyone else is even slower so he easily gets away.

7 Wonders of the Ancient World 2 Review

7 Wonders of the Ancient World 2
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My favorite part of this game is the mini-game which challenges players to rely on logic to make the right moves to free the star, cornerstone or other object.
The game comes with two modes: Regular for building the wonders one by one, and free play where you can revisit and play any unlocked wonder except the secret one. After completing construction of all eight buildings, the game enhances its replay value by assigning you a rank and taking you back to Stonehenge without starting over on points or difficulty.
Anyone disappointed with 7 Wonders of the Ancient World should try the immensely improved 7 Wonders II. For those who haven't played the original, skip it and head straight to the sequel.
