(More customer reviews) This is the most wonderful game you will ever buy if you like the type of games that it has. I had an older version of this and my Grandson deleated it from my computer, as it had been there for a long time, then we could not find my origional to put it back as it had been packed away with LOTS of things & I had no idea where to find it & I was going through withdrawal. I am not an avid player & on the computer, but nights I can not sleep, this is the game I want, no other has the selections I want & have been playing for years. I was very upset & I had everyone looking for me one. I said I don't care what it cost buy it & I will pay you back. I had looked everywhere. Then a friend was on the internet one night and there it was. I pulled it up and it is a newer version of mine, but still has all of my old favorites plus they have added more. The price is FANTASTIC!!! I won't tell them what I would have actually paid to get that game!! HA!

Mahjongg Ancient Mayas Review

This is an awesome game. It has great cartoon style graphics of the rainforest and Mayan pyramids, etc. It leads you on adventures past various famous actual Mayan sites like Tikál (Guatemala) and Copán (Honduras). It features various Mayan flavored tilesets and photographic backgrounds of rain-forest, beach, waterfall, pyramids, etc. It also features some fantastic rain-forest flavored music. I actually don't know what Mayan music should sound like, but this music sounds like African jungle music and I also noticed some Peruvian sounding pan-flutes. It's good music on an absolute scale and also contributes heavily to the rain-forest adventure atmosphere. It also features archeological sound effects like heavy stone tablets sliding open, monkeys, birds, and (presumably) Mayan natives grunting (sometimes in tune with the music).
The game is a big improvement over the usual Mahjongg game in several ways: The entire game is slickly produced and operates smoothly, more so than expected. The Mayan theme is used throughout: the cursor, help windows, tiles, backgrounds, music and sound effects, lettering, command buttons, every single thing that you see on the screen has a Mayan theme. The game opens up new features (like tilesets) as you progress through it. Most importantly, this version of Mahjongg elevates the usual simply one-dimensional game into an actual game with time awards, multiple levels, a storyline, surprise features, and special bonus tiles (for example a wildcard tile). In "adventure" mode, you work your way through a Mayan adventure by visiting Mayan sites (starting with El Gran Jaguar in Tikál) and solving a Mahjongg puzzle at each site. When you solve the puzzle, then you move on to the next Mayan site, possibly adding some game features along the way. I won't spoil the surprise of the bonus tiles. An additional delightful surprise is a comic book intro story in the vein of Indiana Jones.

Chuzzle Review

(More customer reviews)I rarely review items at Amazon, but I am totally addicted to this game. When I first tried it, my impression was that it was a game for maybe a first grader, but keep going and the levels get harder, the moves aren't quite so obvious as you progress, and then there are those darn locked Chuzzles! But it's quite satisfying to see the Chuzzles suddenly explode in seven cascades and your locked Chuzzles are gone.
Then there is the Mind Bender game in which you have to arrange the colors in a certain pattern. This also is more challenging as you progress through the levels.
Plus, this game is really a great excuse for procrastination when you have work to do around the house! Try it!

Midnight Nowhere Review

It plays out like a survival horror game, except there's no way to die and the only use your character has for a gun is to shoot a locked door. The plot is odd in the extreme and only holds together by the barest thread of coincidence. You play to the end assuming All Will Be Revealed, only to find that the central mystery is not only not answered but not even mentioned. Excuse me?
That aside, game play is fairly smooth and logical, though there's an awful lot of looking for keys. It's a brain game, not a reflex game, so expect to do a lot of problem solving and no shooting. (And hours of pixel-hunting, sigh.) The walls you pass are often decorated with very funny subversive posters that seem to have been designed by a satirical comic screwing around with Photoshop (you know the type -- photos of ordinary people bulged out on one side and so on).
Incidently, you should take the Mature rating fairly seriously. There's a lot of cursing, many many many photos of nude women, and variously horribly slaughtered bodies around every corner. I mean, I've seen worse, but I'm not sure I'd be happy about seeing a 13-year-old playing this game.

Nibiru Review

(More customer reviews)I really did not appreciate this game at all. I love the Adventure Company, puzzle, and Myst-type games. But this just didn't meet my expectations; luckily I waited for it to come down to ten dollars before buying it (it is almost worth ten dollars).
The voice acting was pretty terrible, the protagonist being the worst, most stilted voice in the game. And he was a jerk.
The puzzles, that is the real puzzles, were unimpressive but at least a little challenging. The rest of the game seemed to be filler with boring dialogue and "run around and collect stuff" plot.
Lastly, the game was buggy for me. Perhaps it is because I am running Vista. But it would frequently crash during a save or load--which is rather annoying.
The scenery was pretty, but not well done for a second person, two dimensional setting. The scenes in Syberia were much nicer.
I really don't recommend this game at all, unless you're a hardcore adventure gamer and have the time to kill.

Additionally, I ran an anti-spyware program on my pc after installing it and there is no problem with this game. If you enjoy this game online - purchase this. It has multiple options for additional versions that aren't available in the online games. Reputable companies do not steal your information - enjoy and have fun!
